Another short one!
It’s been another busy month here but not so much that I missed the exciting news that a lost episode of the short-lived BBC anthology Late Night Horror has been found and will be screening in the UK in September! This is huge and delightful news, and stories like this always give me hope that we’ll find more lost gems (looking at you ABC: Wide World of Mystery). Anyway, I’d rather link you to a properly written article than to try to hit the high points for you here, so go to Film is Fabulous and read about what’s going on with this project.
The series Late Night Horror produced 6 episodes, and until recently, only one was thought to have survived. You can watch that episode, titled The Corpse Can’t Play below:
Announcements
Mr. JA Kerswell and I recorded this Hunter’s Blood commentary eons ago, and have been waiting oh-so-patiently for the announcement. What a great little backwoods thriller that somehow never saw the light of day on DVD. So, it’s now made the jump from VHS to 4KUHD / Blu-Ray, and looks stunning. Absolutely stunning. You can pick up a copy here. The extras are faboo!
I’ve also been on a couple of podcasts and videocasts, which you watch and/or listen to below:
I made the return to Eventually Supertrain to talk with Dan about one of my favorite short lived shows, Blacke’s Magic! I’ll be a regular on the show over the next few episodes. So happy to be back!
I was also invited onto the awesome Unsung Horrors to discuss the infamous ABC: Wide World of Mystery entry Werewolf of Woodstock. Big shout to Erica and Lance for the invite, it was a blast!
Dan and I were also invited onto The Locher Room to talk about the intersection between daytime drama and the prime time made for TV movie. Soap icon Colleen Zenk also joined us to talk about her telefilm Woman on the Ledge! OMG. Alan Locher is really keeping the love of soaps alive, and this was such a joy to be a part of:
