Hello!
Hello everyone! I’ve decided to start a substack… and I’m still learning the ropes, so please be patient. The goal here is to have one monthly post (maybe more if I can squeeze them in), and this newsletter will be a wrap up of the projects I can announce, promotion of podcasts that I’ve managed to record and get online, a look at some of the TV movies I’m promoting that month (on the socials I’ve started a year long retrospective on TV movies that need a DVD or Blu Ray release) and – if time is kind – a brief deep dive into a telefilm or a theme shared in the world of telefilms that I think will help enlighten and hopefully enhance the experience of watching TV movies.
The goal is is certainly to promote my work and get it out there, but also to shine a light on the movies I love so much. There might be some talk about soap operas and horror movies as well – I like to keep everyone on edge.
If you are new to my work, please check out the Letterboxd list my good friend Bill Ackerman made, which lists pretty much all of my home video extra work (I do commentaries, liner notes and sometimes video essays). I also co-wrote and edited the book Are You in the House Alone: A TV Movie Compendium: 1964-1999 (2017, Headpress). Hopefully this year I’ll actually have a website, but hopefully this covers the bases!
